London post-punks Dry Cleaning first caught our attention with their truly excellent pair of 2019 EPs, which fused angular, Gang Of Four-style guitar and bass work with dry, sardonic spoken word vocals from frontwoman Florence Shaw. Now the band is back with their debut album, recorded over 2 weeks last summer in rural Wales with John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, This Is The Kit). New Long Leg sees the band embrace a more intricate sound, with Shaw’s vocals taking centre stage.
