We’re back with Dinked 72, the debut album from London singer-songwriter Anna B Savage. A Common Turn is released on January 29th on City Slang.
Anna B Savage has quietly been making waves in London’s indie scene, attracting the attention of such artists as Father John Misty, Destroyer and Jenny Hval, all of whom she has supported on tour. For her debut album, Savage enlisted the help of William Doyle (East India Youth) to envelop her stark, vulnerable songwriting in stunning soundscapes that emphasise the darkness of her lyrics. On A Common Turn, Savage is both fragile and empowered, with the music alternating between acoustic intimacy and huge cavernous builds to reflect this. This is a truly unique and beautiful album, often showing glimmers of PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and Fiona Apple.
The Dinked Edition of A Common Turn is released on 300 limited and numbered copies on transparent and purple vinyl with an exclusive 4 postcard set.
