We’re back with Dinked 105, the third album from Brighton-based alt-pop artist Hattie Cooke. Bliss Land is released on May 14th by Castles In Space.
Hattie Cooke has been making waves with her unique brand of nostalgic yet forward-looking synthpop, gaining a cult following for her self-titled debut cassette and its fictional soundtrack follow-up The Sleepers. Now, for her third release, Cooke turns to fusing her singer-songwriter roots with her love of analog synthesis. The result is Bliss Land, an album of densely textured pop that gives a nod to the synthpop of the early 80s, but never becomes cloyingly nostalgic. Fans of Shura, early CHVRCHES and East India Youth will find much to love here.
