This is the awesome, endlessly infectious yet gloriously complex second album from the group fronted by London born Nigerian singer Eno Williams, a bona fide superstar in the making!
Taking the folk tales and language from her Ibibio heritage and mixing them together with a riotous brew of West African funk, disco and electronica the band have made another epic,
scintillating record. With blasting brass, fidgety highlife guitar euphoric synths and the ceaseless joy of African percussion pushing the album to glorious funky heights throughout this is a massive leap forward for the band! Yet amidst all the heady thrills they find time to have a breather on a couple of slower numbers allowing the band to show off their ambient credentials and Williams to shine as an impassioned singer with a stunning voice.
All in all this is a wonderful, soaring achievement that sees the band at the very top of their game. Great stuff!
