Whyte Horses – Pop or Not

Formed by Manchester ‘music chronologist’ Dom Thomas, and featuring the vocal talents of Julie Margat, the French singer who also goes by the alias Lispector, this group explore
the most gloriously sunshiney psychedelia around. Thomas is probably best known as the founder of the globaly minded crate digger‘s favourite record label Finders Keepers and Whyte Horses utilise Dom’s pedigree for tracking down obscure trip music from around the globe within their exuberant sound. The resulting sound is akin to a sitar-infused Go! Team, not surprising considering Ian Parton of the Brighton based funsters guests.
With twinkly xylophones, chiming bells and more embellishing the psych-pop meets 60’s swing sound this is a rush and a blast from start to finish. Recommended for fans of Jane Weaver, Jacco  Gardner, Andy Votel or Melody’s Echo Chamber
