Dylan LeBlanc – Cautionary Tale

Smoky Americana from a man with a rich musical heritage

Smoky, languid, Townes Van Zandt and Fleet Foxes inspired Americana from the son of Muscle Shoals session player James LeBlanc. After signing with Rough Trade before he was even 20 years old, LeBlanc released 2 critically acclaimed albums of yearning, if possibly over-earnest, American folk ballads before taking time-out to recover from the tolls taken by his somewhat rock n roll lifestlye.
Now back and in a more positive state of mind, this new album sees Dylan’s beautiful voice in a more groove-centred song-structure. With members of Alabama Shakes and The Civil Wars on board and a stated intention to write less ‘sad bastard’ songs, this is a fantastic return.
